Acid Rain

Acid Rain (アシッドレイン, Ashiddorein^?) is a support spell typically used by healers in the Tales series.

Arte Description and History[]

When Acid Rain is used, a black rain falls from the sky as the screen blackens a bit and lowers the targets' defense.

In Tales of Phantasia, this only applies to targets within an area of effect. In the iOS version and later games, it affects all enemies as well. Acid Rain is a strike arte in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and capable of dealing damage. The spell version is also capable of dealing damage in Tales of VS..

In Tales of Crestoria, Rutee Katrea's Deals at the Beach unit decreases all enemies' DEF by 24% for four turns while Meredy's Light Born of Chaos unit decreases all enemies' DEF by 22% with the same duration. The latter also has a shorter cooldown by one turn.
