Annihilating Crash as it appears in Tales of Berseria.

Zeppa Messhougeki (絶破滅焼撃?, "Stop Ruin Burning Attack"[1]) and Annihilating Crash (絶破滅衝撃 Zeppa Messhougeki?, "Severing Destruction Impact") are mystic artes used by Kyle Dunamis from Tales of Destiny 2 and Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria respectively.

Arte Description and History

In Tales of Destiny 2, this attack is activated as an extension of Kuuha Zeppuugeki. When activated, Kyle charges his sword with fire by creating a spellcasting circle below himself. He then steps backward before charging into the enemy with his side, thrusting into it with his sword. Finally, he creates a powerful blast of red energy that throws the enemy backward. This also applies in Tales of the Rays, where it instead replaces Kuuha Zeppuugeki as its master arte.

In Tales of Berseria, Annihilating Crash is Velvet's second mystic arte, acting as a reference to Kyle's Zeppa Messhougeki in the Japanese pronunciation and appearance, with the kanji for "Frying" ( shou?) being replaced with the kanji for "Impact" ( shou?). Velvet first charges at the enemy, piercing her gauntlet blade through them, and then thrusts her open therion hand at the target, blowing them away as a vortex of red and black swirls follow them.
