Arc Wind (アークウィンド, Aakuwindo^?), is a recurring weapon in Tales series. It is generally mid-to-high power, Wind-elemental spear or axe.

Weapon Description and History

Arc Wind debuted in the Super Famicom release of Tales of Phantasia as the strongest spear available to Cress Albane that can be dropped by Ekim under the name ? Spear, requiring inspection before it can be equipped. It has the second highest Accuracy among spears. In the PlayStation release, it can be instead found in the future timeline in a chest inside Treantwood and as an unidentified spear dropped by the Black Night enemy. In the GameBoy Advance release, it is instead dropped by the Arch Knight and as an unidentified spear by Ekim.

In the PlayStation release of Tales of Destiny it is the strongest spear available to Stahn Aileron, Mary Argent, and Garr Kelvin that can be found in a chest in Josaia.

In Tales of Eternia, Arc Wind appears as a mediocre class spear for Reid Hershel that can be found in a chest in Sylph Cavern. It has chance on hit to temporarily decrease the target's Accuracy.

In Tales of Destiny 2, Arc Wind appears as a mediocre class polearm for Loni Dunamis that can be found in a chest west of Vangelo with the help of Sorcerer's Scope. It increases the user's Critical by 15 and Chanting Speed by 5 points respectively as well as comes with the slot Gale 4 attached.

In Tales of the Tempest, it is Forest Ledoyen's third strongest axe that can be acquired with Artifice of Bahamut Tear. It increases user's DEF and HIT by 20% each.

In Tales of VS., Arc Wind appears as a weapon for Presea Combatir. In Tales of the Rays, Arc Wind has two different versions: first as a ★3 weapon for Loni that teaches him the arte Delta Ray and the second as a ★4 weapon for Battle Spear Cress that teaches him the arte Senhyoureppa.
