Garen Souhajin (ToD2)

Garen Souhajin as it appears in Tales of Destiny 2.

Azure Storm (牙連蒼破刃 Garen Souhajin?, "Chaining Fang Azure Tearing Edge") is a more powerful version of Azure Edge.

Arte Description and History[]

Azure Storm involves the user performing two thrusts and a slash, followed by a Wind-elemental projectile from Azure Edge. The initial strikes eventually become its own arte, Storm Blade. It is introduced as an arcane arte used by Kyle Dunamis in Tales of Destiny 2. Here, he performs a forward thrust, an upward thrust, a downward slash, followed by the projectile. Additionally, it can be extended to activate Resshou Souhajin. This also applies in Tales of the Rays, where Garen Souhajin alters into Resshou Souhajin when used at the sixth or later action of a chain or during Burst Limits.

This arte is also available to the Thief class in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, where it is derived from Storm Blade and Azure Edge. In Tales of Innocence, Ange Serena also receives a similar attack, Garen Kouhajin, which features the same movements, followed by a final Light-elemental projectile.

This arte should not be confused with the altered arte Azure Storm, which is localized by the same name but provides a significantly different effect.
