Add Combo (コンボプラス Konbopurasu?, "Combo Plus"), also localized as Add Combo 1, is a recurring skill in Tales series.
Arte Description and History[]
Add Combo allows the user to execute a longer regular attack chain by allowing input of one more regular attack, which typically is a three-hit combo. Some titles include additional versions of the arte, allowing further extension of the regular attack chain, e.g. Add Combo 2 (コンボプラス２ Konbopurasu 2?, "Combo Plus 2"), Add Combo 3 (コンボプラス３ Konbopurasu 3?, "Combo Plus 3"), and Add Combo 4 (コンボプラス４ Konbopurasu 4?, "Combo Plus 4"). In Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and Tales of Vesperia, Add Combo 2 and Combo Plus 2 respectively increases regular attack chain by two attacks, while Add Combo 3 and Combo Plus 3 respectively increases it by three attacks. In the PlayStation 3 and Definitive Edition version of Tales of Vesperia, Patty Fleur obtains a variation that only works in her "Advance" and "Critical" forms named Combo Plus Advance (アドバンスコンボプラス?, "Advance Combo Plus").
