|Hometown||City of Leymon|
|Occupation||Former Leymon Leader|
Couber (クベール Kubeeru?) is a supporting character in Tales of the Tempest. He is the former leader of the Leymon people, who used Life Magic and caused the devastating Beast War 100 years prior to the events of the story.
Couber was once met by a mysterious human traveler, who confronted him about restoring life to the dead. The traveler, later revealed to be King Areulla VIII, convinced Couber that Life Magic would allow him to do this, persuading him to ignite a civil war against his people to harvest their lives, thinking he could bring them all back again once the Precepts ritual was complete. However, the people overpowered him, and the war ended before the Life Magic was complete. Ashamed of what he had done, he fled north to the remote village of Adelhabith, where the protagonists confront him during the story to learn more of the Leymon history. He managed to keep a Pensient, the catalyst for Life Magic, with him, extending his lifespan dramatically.
