Crimson Skies

Crimson Skies (紅蓮天翔, Gurentenshou^?, "Crimson Lotus Heavenly Soar") is a mystic arte used by Tytree Crowe and Mao in Tales of Rebirth and Law in Tales of Arise.

Arte Description and History[]

When this arte is used, Tytree snaps his fingers toward his back to request for Mao's assistance. Mao summons several streaks of flame that shoot out from around him to lift the enemy as he covers the ground with flames. Tytree draws the flames into himself, clearing the fire from the ground as he charges forward with two punches. He finishes the attack by launching himself into the air with an uppercut using his outstretched knee, surrounded by the aura of a large phoenix. The solo version used by Tytree in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 allows him to summon the flames by himself.

It later becomes Law's second mystic arte in Tales of Arise. He first imbues himself in flames, to which he then exudes through his limbs. He then performs a right punch, followed by a clockwise spin left kick. Law finishes the arte with a devastating left knee strike that sends both him and the enemy flying, with the astral image of a phoenix behind him.

In Tales of the Rays, this becomes Tytree and Mao's Earth- and Fire-elemental crossover mirrage arte. Tytree snaps his fingers for Mao to launch a singular streak of flame from his right tonfa. Tytree then jumps to the enemy before his chest start glowing. Mao quietly laughs to himself before Tytree performs a spiraling leap, conjuring a phoenix aura as both he and the enemy are sent flying, as Mao is seen comedically gripping the phoenix's tail.
