Darilsheid (ダリルシェイド Darirusheido?) is the capital of Seinegald in Tales of Destiny, playing a pivotal role in the game's plot. However, in Tales of Destiny 2, which takes place 18 years after the events of Tales of Destiny, the kingdom of Seinegald ceases to exist, and Darilsheid is reduced to ruins, though people still live there. The villa that once belonged to Hugo Gilchrist is now a temple used by the Order of Atamoni, housing a prison beneath it that connects to the city's sewers.
Darilsheid is home to Seinegald's castle and serves as the main headquarters of the Oberon Corporation. The city is a sprawling metropolis consisting of shops; a port, which is the main port of the Seinegald region; and numerous residences, one belong to Oberon's president, Hugo. During the events of the story, Stahn Aileron, Rutee Katrea, and Mary Argent are arrested in Harmentz and brought to the capital by Leon Magnus, a young, renown swordsman who serves the kingdom and lives with Hugo as his adopted son. Granted the opportunity of being forgiven for their crimes, the trio joins Leon in a mission to investigate Seinegald's Straylize Temple and ensure the safety of the Eye of Atamoni. Much later in the story, the group collaborates with one of the kingdom's scientists, Reynes, in infiltrating the Aethersphere and prepares in the capital for their final battle.
