Deadly Descent

Deadly Descent (千裂虚光閃, Senretsu Kokousen^?, "Thousand Splitting Hollowing Light Flash"), also localized as Thousand-Slash Flash, is an arcane arte exclusive to Judas from Tales of Destiny 2.

Arte Description and History

Deadly Descent as it appears in Tales of Crestoria.

Judas performs an upward slash with his dagger, then assaults his target with five quick thrusts while alternating blades with each thrust. In Tales of the Rays, this arte is Light-elemental, and slightly altered. He instead performs an upper dagger thrust, followed by an upper sword thrust, then a lower dagger, ending with a straight sword. In Tales of Crestoria, this arte decreases the enemy's DEF by 10% for four turns.

In Tales of Crestoria, prior to update 2.4.0, this arte's name was rendered in Japanese with the kanji for "intense" (烈^?) instead of "split" (裂^?) without the change in pronunciation. However, this change was corrected in a later patch.
