Dragon Shot (臥龍空破 Garyoukuuha?, "Reclining Dragon Sky Tear"), originally localized as Rising Dragon Strike, is a strike arte usually used by Farah Oersted, Jude Mathis, Law, and the Fighter class.
Arte Description and History[]
The user performs a simple uppercut, causing both the user and the target to become airborne. In Tales of Eternia, Farah strikes with a right upward punch, conjuring a projectile of light that knocks an enemy into the air. She then performs a left uppercut as she jumps into the air. Rising Dragon Strike is needed to activate the Serpent Knuckle team skill. In Tales of the Abyss, Sync performs a left uppercut as he jumps into the air, spiraling clockwise. In the Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology series, the Monk class combines both Farah and Sync's variants, striking with a right upward punch, conjuring a projectile of light that knocks an enemy into the air, before a left uppercut, spiraling clockwise.
In Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2, Jude Mathis steps forward with his left leg, charging his right fist as it glows. He then strikes with the back of his left fist as he performs a leaping uppercut. On the other hand, Golden Mage Knight - Scholar steps forward with his right left leg before performing a mighty left uppercut.
In Tales of Arise, Zephyr steps forward with his right leg as he performs a left hook, before performing the leaping uppercut. In contrast, Law quickly turns his back on the opponent before leaping and kicking his right leg up.
In Tales of the Rays, Jude's version is a Wind-elemental mirrage arte, while Sync, Law, and Mirrist Regal's is a regular arte. Jude first performs a left uppercut, launching the target into the air. He then leaps up to strike them with his right fist.
In Tales of Asteria, Master of Elements, Act 6, Van Grants can call Sync to use this arte under the name Synch no Engo "Garyoukuuha" (シンクの援護「臥龍空破」?).
