History[]
Elda was the empress of the Bifrost Empire and mother of Woden Rot Nibelung and Mercuria. Both of her children bore a strong resemblance to her in appearance, and she cared deeply for them. In her capacity as the priestess of wisdom, she passed on Dana's prophecy that the residents of Tir Na Nog must await the day the rainbow bridge appears and leads them out of Dana's Cradle. When Sellund's mirrite energy system was threatening to destroy the world, Dana reached out to Elda and told her Sellund was creating mirrites and must be stopped at all costs.
After the death of Woden, Elda ordered Jason Freisel to assassinate Demitrius Danann Asgard , Gefion, and their colleagues. Following the destruction of the Bifrost Empire, Elda and Mercuria were taken to Demitrius as war prisoners. The loss of her son and her country drove Elda mad, and it was theorized by Phillip Reston that the destruction of the world by the voidstorm drove her to despair. She tried to commit double suicide with Mercuria, but Mercuria survived.
Before killing herself, Elda told Mercuria she was supposed to grow up to become a priestess of wisdom who would master Bifrost mirristry, protect Dana's Cradle, and bring prosperity to the Bifrost Empire. Elda died cursing Sellund and Gefion, calling the voidstorm Dana's divine punishment. She wished for the destruction of Sellund and the revival of the Bifrost Empire. In her dying moments, she apologized to Mercuria.
