Energy Shackles (雷封刃 Raipuujin?, "Lightning Sealing Blade") is a recurring Wind-elemental martial arte used by dual-blade users in the Tales series.
Arte Description and History[]
The user slashes their dual-blades upward, forming a cross in front of them and conjuring lightning bolts upon their target that turn into a violet sphere of gravity that pushes the enemy away. The user finishes the attack with a left-horizontal strike with their left-hand dual-blade. In Tales of Xillia 2, this arte is also Fire-elemental, has a chance to inflict the Burn and Paralysis status ailments, and has its explosion radius increased after 100 uses. In Tales of Crestoria, this arte inflicts Paralysis on the enemy for two turns.
