Eternal Fatality (エターナル・ファイナリティ / エターナルファイナリティ, Etaanaru Fainariti / Etaanarufainariti^?, "Eternal Finality") is one of the Dark Aurora artes and Shizel's signature arte.

Arte Description and History

Eternal Fatality as it appears in Tales of Vesperia.

In this Dark Aurora arte, Shizel brings down a sword of darkness from the heavens, which comes crashing down on the enemy with a powerful blast. In Tales of Eternia, this arte brings the party down to one HP. By using Aurora Wave to counter it, however, Reid Hershel can turn it into Eternal Infinity, which revives and heals the party instead.

This move becomes Shizel's mystic arte in her coliseum battle in Tales of Vesperia and is a normal but powerful and expensive spell for Shizel in Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3. During Tales of Vesperia, the initial part of the quote is missing, though it returns in the PlayStation 3 and Definitive Edition ports of the game. The Japanese name lacks the interpunct. A very similar arte is used by Widdershin in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. Instead of a sword of darkness falling from the sky, he sends down a giant version of the swords he uses.

In Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3 and Tales of the Rays, this arte is Dark-elemental. In Tales of the Rays, Reid uses a parody of the arte called Dumpling Finality.
