Leblanc (ルブラン Ruburan?) is a minor antagonist in Tales of Vesperia.
History[]
Leblanc is the lieutenant of the Schwann Brigade, who spends most of the game in trying to capture Yuri Lowell. While his captain is in the middle of a mission, he temporarily fills the brigade's leadership role.
Appearance and Personality[]
Leblanc has a muscular build with a small mustache and wears the traditional Imperial Knight armor with the Schwann Brigade's orange colors. His loyalty to Schwann Oltorain is so great that hearing Schwann's voice is enough to get his attention, a behavior Raven exploits to get past him. Leblanc hates Yuri to the point of refusing to listen to Estellise Sidos Heurassein when she says she went with him willingly, believing her to be coerced into saying that. Despite hating Yuri, he reveals the fact he is starting to have fun chasing him across the globe and is even willing to let Yuri re-join the Imperial Knights as an honorary knight.
Fighting Style[]
Leblanc is only fought in the "Hero Mode" of the Tag-Team Tournament in Nordopolica, in the PlayStation 3 and Definitive Edition versions, where he recycles the fight animations of a generic Imperial Knight Fencer enemy into his artes. Despite not having a burst arte like Adecor and Boccos, Leblanc has more combat prowess than his subordinates, and is the only one of the three to chain artes in battle. He also has items capable of healing and resurrecting allies, keeping the fight going.
