Mileena Weiss (ミリーナ・ヴァイス Miriina Vaisu?) is a character in Tales of the Rays.
History[]
Born into a family of mirrists, talented Mileena has been polishing her skills as one ever since she was young. She is Ix Nieves's childhood friend and has a motherly personality, acting like an older sister to him and doing various favors for him such as cooking.
This all changes when, on one fateful day, a rain of fire suddenly strikes the town. Thinking fast, Ix grabs Mileena and jumps into the water.
Ix wakes up to find both Mileena and himself having been rescued by Marcus Grimm of the Salvation Front. The both of them are distraught to hear that the town had been completely incinerated, and everyone there, reduced to corpses.
A week after the burning, the two reach the royal capital of Sellund before being taken to Prime Minister Gefion. Gefion explains that the world, Tir Na Nog is spiraling toward apocalypse. She officially employs the two as mirrists, exoflecting different worlds to keep the world stable.
During the search of Phillip Reston's mirrage in the Mirrist Temple, Kanonno Earhart persuades Ix to try and summon a mirrite of his own in order to speed up the search. This results in a success, summoning the mirrite Kocis.
When Ix's mirrage goes berserk and his powers increase enormously, Kocis is able to mature in proportion. Ix gives him the order "to protect Mileena" before being sealed away. After this, Kocis follows Mileena on her journey to discover a way to save Ix.

Eventually, the party succeed in breaking Ix free, and welcome him home.
Appearance and Personality[]
Mileena has green eyes and long blonde hair with a mirrage serving as her hairclip.
In the first arc, she wears a light pink blouse, a maroon skirt with gold lining tied with a belt and a red cape with sleeves. Her look is completed with maroon gauntlets and boots.
Mileena is a kind and sweet young woman with an occasionally scary side. When Ix gets serious in thought, analyzing all possible outcomes, Mileena acts as a "voice of reason" for him, asking him not to overthink things. Her feelings are profound, and she holds a face that easily imbues emotions onto others. While Ix can be negative, Mileena is as positive as she can possibly be. Although she tries her best to hold dignity as the older one, she has a tendency to become gentle toward Ix. Despite Ix's constant actions of protecting her, she is also taking an active role in protecting him and aiding him on his journey, even if sometimes that puts her in danger. While Mileena has strong emotional ties with Ix, she often admires various aspects of many female nexuses, like their appearance and strength, and proclaims her love for them. Karia reveals that the reason behind this is because Mileena has always wanted a little sister.
In the Mirrage Prison arc, Mileena changes to a black dress with earrings and a black ribbon under her mirrage, including long boots that reach up the legs. She becomes slightly distant in this arc, as she did not take Ix's situation well, but she is still kind, nonetheless. Her cheerful demeanor returns when Ix comes home, as she's finally able to be smile again.
In the Fairy's Requiem arc, she wears an outfit handmade by Ix. This includes a black top with a white corset over it, a black skirt with red highlights and a ribbon, long brown boots and a red scarf. She also has a pouch slung over her waist.
In addition, she wears black gloves that extend into froly-colored sleeves, reaching up to her albows, as well as a bracelet on her right arm that matches Ix's.

Mileena fights using five floating mirrors that circle around her and because of their mobility her strike artes are mainly ranged. She also has access to a range of magic artes, mainly focusing on Light-elemental ones with Wind- and Fire-elemental spells at her disposal as well. Mileena can also perform basic healing spells from First Aid to a variety of area-of-effect spells like Pixie Circle.
As the story progresses, Mileena learns a plethora of Dark-elemental artes, which is later reflected in her Spirit Gear, which draws power from Shadow.
