Finis Aeternam

Finis Aeternam (フィニステルナム, Finisuterunamu^?, "Finisternum") is a Water-elemental mystic arte exclusive to Vholran Igniseri in Tales of Arise.

Arte Description and History[]

Vholran draws his sword high into the air while using his Sovereign powers, releasing a beam of frozen Water astral energy. An ice rift forms into the air from which a massive blade made of ice slowly comes out. As the sword touches the ground, it progessively shatters while simultaneously releasing icy stalagmites of various sizes across the entire battlefield.

Finis is a Latin word meaning "end", while aeternam is accusative feminine singular of aeternus meaning "eternal". The name therefore means "Eternal End". In both name and appearance this arte is a reference to Shizel's mystic arte Eternal Fatality, albeit it is Ice-themed as opposed to Shizel's Dark-elemental.
