Flames of Destruction (バーニングブレイク / バーニング・ブレイク Baaningubureiku / Baaningu Bureiku?, "Burning Break"), also localized as Burning Beast, Flamebreak, and Burning Break, is a Fire-elemental arte associated with Efreet.
Arte Description and History[]
In Tales of Eternia and Tales of Symphonia, Efreet grabs his enemy into his right hand and raises them into the air, then follows with a series of fiery rings at various angles bursting from his right hand. It is written with an interpunct in Tales of Symphonia.
In Tales of the Rays, Efreet draws both of his arms behind his head, then crushes them onto the ground, creating a series of cracks bursting with flames and rocks forming around the impact zone. Shadow Chester's use of it is because his monster form resembles Efreet.
In Tales of Eternia: The Animation, it is instead depicted as a large burst of flame, sometimes involving Efreet himself diving into his target.
In Tales of Berseria, it is one in a set of elementally aligned malak artes designed to inflict status ailments known as the Break artes. The user releases a pulse of Fire-elemental energy on the ground capable of inflicting Burn.
