God's Breath as it appears in Tales of Phantasia (iOS).
- This article is about the Wind-elemental spell "God's Breath", previously localized as "Judgment". For the Angel Skill and Fonic Hymn that goes by this previous name, see Judgment. For the Sea-elemental spell that goes by that same previous name, see Judgment (Grune).
God's Breath (ゴッドブレス Goddoburesu?, "God Breath"), sometimes misleadingly localized as Judgment, is a powerful Wind-elemental spell that was once considered to be the strongest spell of its element.
Arte Description and History
This spell creates a pillar of immense atmospheric pressure that crushes enemies into the ground with a tremendous force of wind. This spell has no relation to the Angel Skill or Fonic Hymn known as Judgment, nor with the other spell that also goes by the localized name, Judgment, which is currently exclusive to Tales of Legendia, despite localization inconsistencies that caused all three spells to hold the same name in English media. The name "God's Breath" has since been created to separate itself from the other spells and avoid continued confusion.
The spell did not appear in the original release of Tales of Destiny 2, which consists almost entirely of newly-invented spell entries. However, in the ported version for the PlayStation Portable, both Philia Felice and Garr Kelvin are capable of casting this spell during their cameo battle.
