Grand Cross as it appears in Tales of the Abyss.
Grand Cross (グランドクロス Gurandokurosu?) is a powerful Light-elemental spell in the Tales series.
Arte Description and History[]
When activated, a glyph is created on the ground beneath the enemy, summoning rays of light that lift the enemy into the air, followed by a cross-shaped blast that knocks them down. Grand Cross first appeared as an Angel Skill used by Colette Brunel, exclusive to the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PC and Remastered versions of Tales of Symphonia after battling Pronyma for the first time.
This spell appears as Yulia Jue's sixth Fonic Hymn, symbolizing the Fonon of Light, used by Tear Grants in Tales of the Abyss. It is also a staff that Anise Tatlin can use after completing Baticul Coliseum's Advanced Single Battle with Anise.
In Tales of the Rays, Tear's version is a reward mirrage arte while Van's version is a regular spell. Additionally, the latter's variant alters into Divine Cross when used as the sixth or later action in a chain or during Burst Limits.
