Hootle (フルル Fururu?) is a Dahnan owlet and Rinwell's companion in Tales of Arise. United by their feelings of loneliness, Hootle's bond with Rinwell is such that he takes an immediate dislike to anyone Rinwell distrusts.
History[]
Hootle generally hangs around Rinwell, often flying behind her or sitting in her cloak hood. Initially distant from Alphen and the others, he slowly warms up to their presence during their journey. He particularly likes to rival Law. Rinwell considers Hootle as her only friend prior to meeting the party and apparently the two of them are able to understand one another just fine.
Appearance[]
Hootle is small and snow with the physical elasticity of a soft marshmellow. Since Hootle is a Dahnan owl hatched in the cold Cyslodia, he is well adapted to the cold. According to Rinwell, Dahnan owls will absorb the astral energy according to the place they live in and their feather will change color according to the element they absorbed as they grew up, which is why Hootle's feathers are white since he's still a baby owl.
Gameplay[]
Hootle alerts the player if there are any nearby Dahnan owls. Finding an owl grants the player an attachment and more rewards from the Owl Sanctuary.
