Mage (魔術師 Majutsushi?) is a recurring job class, known as the Wizard and Witch in the Narikiri Dungeon series. The Mage's arte list usually consists of attack spells of varying elements, with little to no support. Mages are usually physically weak but are nonetheless valuable due to their strength in spells.

There are many magic-using classes, though there are a group of mages:
- Mage (まほうつかい Mahoutsukai?)
- Flare Mage (フレアメイジ Fureameiji?)
- Aqua Mage (アクアメイジ Akuameiji?)
- Wind Mage (ウィンドメイジ Uindomeiji?)
- Earth Mage (アースメイジ Aasumeiji?)
- Thunder Mage (サンダーメイジ Sandaameiji?)
Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2
The Wizard (ウィザード Uizaado?) and Witch (ウィッチ Uicchi?) are a series of costumes for Frio Sven and Kyaro Orange respectively. To obtain a Wizard/Witch requires giving a costume the Alchemy Proof (れんきんじゅつしょ Renkinjutsusho?) root item to get the Wizard/Witch of the same element. The variations are:
- Non-Elemental: Wizard (ウィザード?) (Male) and Witch (ウィッチ?) (Female)
- Fire: Flare Mage (フレアメイジ Fureameiji?)
- Wind: Wind Mage (ウィンドメイジ Uindomeiji?)
- Water: Aqua Mage (アクアメイジ Akuameiji?)
- Earth: Earth Mage (アースメイジ Aasumeiji?)
- Lightning: Thunder Mage (サンダーメイジ Sandaameiji?)
- Light: Enchanter (エンチャンター Enchantaa?) (Male) and Enchantress (エンチャントレス Enchantoresu?) (Female)
- Dark: Necromancer (ネクロマンサー Nekuromansaa?)
- Void: Wizard Lord (ウィザードロード Uizaadoroodo?) and Witch Lord (ウィッチロード Uicchiroodo?)
Arche Klein's costume is based on the Witch, and Dhaos's is based on the Necromancer.

Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3
The Wizard (ウィザード Uizaado?) and Witch (ウィッチ Uicchi?) are a set of costumes for Frio Sven and Kyaro Orange respectively. To obtain the Wizard and Witch costumes, both Frio and Kyaro must combine their respective Costume Artist (なりきりし Narikirishi?) costumes with the root Black Robe (くろのローブ Kuro no Rroobu?).
Genis Sage and Druaga both have their costumes based off of the Wizard, and Arche Klein, Reala, and Ki are based off of the Witch.

The Arcane Craymel Mage (魔晶霊術士 Mashourei Jutsushi?) was one of the starter classes, specializing in offensive spells. The male versions were modeled after Keele Zeibel.
