The Magician (手品師 Tejinashi?) is a recurring costume in the Narikiri Dungeon series of games.
Job Characteristics[]
Magicians are the showman, prestidigitators who use magic tricks to do their work. They specialize in using illusions to either escape or weaken their enemies.
Appearances[]
Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon[]
The Magician is a costume for Dio that can be made by combining his Gambler costume with a mage costume, Mell's Model costume, or another Gambler costume. It can also be created from two of Mell's Model costumes.
Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2[]
In Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2, the Magician costumes are a series of costumes that can be converted into with a Silk Hat (シルクハット?) root item. Combining an elemental costume with the Silk Hat will create the corresponding Magician-family costume, though only Fire, Lightning, Light, and Dark-based elemental variations exist. While the normal attacks of each costume is dependent on the costume's element, each of the elemental costumes also gain access to several spells not necessarily of that element. The Fire-elemental Trickster costume is used to synthesize the costume for Dymlos Timber.
The variations are:
Non-Elemental: Magician (手品師 Tejinashi?) Fire: Trickster (トリックスター?) Lightning: Illusionist (イリュージョニスト?) Light: Conjurer (奇術師 Kijutsushi?) Dark: Juggler (ジャグラー?)
Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3[]
The process of costume synthesis is greatly streamlined in Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3, merging all iterations of the Magician costume into a single unit. The Magician costume can be obtained by merging a Mimic costume with the Silk Hat (シルクハット?) root item.
