Phoenix Blast (翔凰烈火 Shouourekka?, "Soaring Phoenix Blaze") is a Fire-elemental arte exclusive to Stahn Aileron after the Tales of Destiny remakes.
Arte Description and History[]
When Stahn uses this arte, he quickly spins clockwise with his sword extended and imbued with flame. As he returns to face his target, he thrusts his palm forward, launching a flaming aura shaped like a phoenix upward at an angle, forcing enemies into the air. This arte is reminiscent of a Fire-elemental Light Spear, following the same movements leading up to the usual final thrust done with a weapon. Stahn stays grounded during this arte, enabling it to be used to trap light and medium-sized enemies in the air with minimal movement. This particular aspect of the arte justifies its status as the final attack that Stahn can learn by normal leveling in Tales of Destiny. Furthermore, it is used as a trigger for the final boss of that game to counter by using one of his Blast Calibers, Surviving Hollin, thereby preventing Phoenix Blast from being used during that battle.
