Photon Blast (フォトンブラスト Fotonburasuto?) is a recurring arte in the Tales series, originating as a Compound Special Attack in Tales of Symphonia performed by Colette Brunel and Raine Sage.
Arte Description and History
Colette attacks the enemy in front repeatedly while shining in radiant light. As she spins around for a final strike, the light explodes to knock away the enemy. In order to use this, Colette must use one of her Ring Whirlwind artes together with Raine's Photon during a Unison Attack. In Tales of the Rays, this arte is Light-elemental and is retooled into a magic arte with the animation resembling its combination arte version. It manifests as two angled rings of light spinning around the target with particles of light concentrating upon them and damaging them. The effects shrinks shortly after and then a sphere of light bursts from the enemy as two wisps of light spiral clockwise for a moment.
