Poppo (ポッポ?) is one of the Oresoren in Tales of Legendia.

History[]

Main Quest[]

Poppo is met by Senel Coolidge, Norma Beatty, and Harriet Campbell at The Crags after his submarine, the "Poppo Mark II", is sunk by a "Dino Worm". Poppo asks Senel and Norma if they can guide him back to the Oresoren Village, and the two gladly accept. When they get out of the Crags, Poppo shows them to the village. When they arrive, Will Raynard and Chloe Valens are about to be captured by Jay, but Quppo, Pippo, and Poppo tell Jay that they are their friends. This causes Jay to cease his actions. After Harriet and Will meet each other in the village, Quppo separates from the group and takes Harriet back to Werites Beacon.

After arriving at the Ruins of Frozen Light, Jay tells the group to go to the Great Hollow, where they can find another entrance into the area. When they arrive to the area, Poppo is seen again working in his workshop on the "Poppo Mark III" to help the group get into the Ruins of Frozen Light. When the group arrives, Poppo tells them to go get a horn of "Grand Gaet" to make the sub operational. The group accepts his request and ventures to the graveyard. After battling the "Gaet" once Moses Sandor disturbed it, it is Poppo who comes and reasons with the dying creature. The next day, the building of the submarine is complete, and he allows the group to use it.

During the events in the Quiet Lands, Quppo, Pippo, and Poppo fill Jay in concerning the events happening the surface world most of the time. The three of them then find the Tram for the group's usage. After repairing the Tram, the three brothers travel to Mirage Palace and await the group's return. When the group returns to Werites Beacon before the final battle, the brothers and Jay fix the "Trail Across the Heavens" to make it possible for the group to venture into the Wings of Light. During the ending credits, the Oresoren brothers are seen sleeping on Jay's back.

Character Quests[]

Poppo Model

The three Oresoren brothers do not appear during the Character Quests much until Jay's Character Quest. During this quest, the three of them are revealed to be the ones who found Jay on the verge of death after being abandoned by his mentor, Solon. During the mid-segment of the quest, all three of them, along with the rest of the Oresoren from the village, lead an assault on Mirage Palace to save Jay and Shirley Fennes. They decide to hold off Solon while the two escape. When Senel and his group return to the palace, the brothers are about to be killed by Solon, but Jay stops him in time. After defeating Solon and "Dark Jay", the brothers tell Jay to accept the new family he has with Senel and the others.

Quppo, Pippo, and Poppo appear at the end of Grune's Character Quest during the final confrontation, when Schwartz covers the island in darkness and sends dark versions of herself to attack them in the Oresoren Village. When the group tries to use their "Super Sacred Eres" to stop Schwartz, they, along with the other villagers, obtain Sacred Eres themselves and defeat the Schwartz clones. After defeating Schwartz, the brothers and other Oresoren cheer Jay's name, knowing that world is now saved. During the ending cutscene, the Oresoren witness the Summon Spirit Gnome emerge from his seed.
