Prism Stars (プリズミックスターズ Purizumikkusutaazu?, "Prismic Stars"), also formely localized as Prismic Stars, is a Light-element spell, most recognized as one of several extensions to the Mystic Arte Dual the Sol, which appears in Tales of Eternia and Tales of Rebirth. This spell, like other extensions, can be used by the Greater Craymel of Time, Sekundes, after his remaining HP reaches a certain level.
Arte Description and History
This spell appears as an extension in Tales of Eternia and Tales of Rebirth. In Tales of Eternia, it is possible to summon Maxwell, and then continue the summon through various button combinations, adding several extensions to the attack. When used, several planets in diferent colors spin around the target as they collide with the latter and does great damage. This spell can also be used by the Greater Craymel of Time, Sekundes, after his remaining HP reaches a certain level. Sekundes can use it separately as a spell without incantation time.
The arte is still an extention in Tales of Rebirth, used by Eugene Gallardo and Hilda Rhambling. The appearance of this arte is similar to the animation in Tales of Eternia, though is performed much faster, requiring more button presses in a shorter period of time to activate it correctly.
It also appears as a Compound Special Attack in Tales of Symphonia. After performing a Unison Attack, Genis and Raine (If Raine has used Ray and Genis has used any of his Advanced tier T-type spells) will raise their weapons, sending a barrage of stars to attack through the enemy numerous times.
In the sequel to Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, the arte is not available for use in battle. However, it is possible to trigger a skit where Raine and Genis use this attack on Tenebrae during a skit after he makes a bad pun about the party. However, its name is translated as Prismic Stars instead, the original and Japanese name.
