Rapier Rush (リペラチャージ Riperachaaji?, "Repeller Charge") is a burst-style arte exclusive to Sophie from Tales of Graces.
Arte Description and History
Sophie's body briefly covers with white light, initiating a guarding stance ready to counter any enemy attack. If she is attacked, she counters with a charging hit. This arte is one of a series of artes that draws inspiration from the fighting styles of Sophie and her friends, this particular one from Richard. The English name is a reference to Richard's weapons, which are rapiers, while the Japanese name contains sounds that are similar to Richard's name. Its animation is also similar to that of Richard's thrusting techniques. This arte is an odd one out, however, as she does not gain it from the same series of titles; Slash Rose has this distinction in Tales of Graces ƒ. In Tales of Graces, this arte is effective against reptiles and humans.
