Reese Heavenly (リース・ヘブンリー Riisu Hebunrii?) is a character in Tales of Fandom Vol.2 who plays a major role in Peony's quest, despite not appearing in Tales of the Abyss. A young boy who claims to be the orphaned son of Prince Franz (フランツ皇子?), the former first heir to the throne of the Malkuth Empire.
History[]
Shortly after the Outer Lands Landing Operation, he suddenly appears in Grand Chokmah, where he embezzles money and valuables, and criticizes the current emperor, Peony, as a usurper. He first appears giving a speech, claiming that he is the legitimate emperor and would revive the Score.
When Peony appears, he is initially surprised, but he maintains a strong attitude, as he has Prince Franz's sword and letter in his possession as evidence of his identity. However, after a deliberation in the audience chamber, it is discovered that although the sword and letter were genuine, a fonic test using his hair reveals that he was not related to Prince Franz. Immediately after it is concluded that he had no right to the throne, he was used as a pawn by Steinmetz, who plotted to assassinate Peony. However, since he was unaware of these facts and was simply being used by Steinmetz, he is expected to receive only a light punishment.
