The Reigning Visage as it appears in Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn.
The Reigning Visage (統治の貌 Touchi no Mao / "Dikuteitaa"?, "Dictator") is a key item in Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn.
History[]
Nazamil first discovered the Reigning Visage within the Keystone. Upon further study, she learned how to use the Keystone to mass produce suppressors, which she then could use to control the behavior of whoever wore them via the Reigning Visage. With this, she formed the group Cal Beisel by applying suppressors to Dahnans and Renans alike. However, after emotionally spiraling upon Alphen's scolding, she allows the Visage to overtake her senses.
Under the influence of the Reigning Visage, Nazamil wallows in her sadness, fear, and doubt. So much so, that astral protections of herself start calling out these thoughts. As soon as she wakes up with the mask still on, it eventually takes over Nazamil's body, existing as a mind separate from hers. With the party's help, Nazamil is able to overcome her doubts and free herself, removing the Reigning Visage and destroying both it and all of the suppressors.
