Arte Decription and History
Sekkazan is a very powerful attack that can be very helpful in emergency situations. When Garr uses this arte, he charges his sword with energy in its sheath. He then unsheathes his sword and dashes through the enemy in one quick movement. After a short delay, he returns his weapon to its sheath as countless slashes beset the enemy from all angles behind him. Due to the strain on Garr after using this attack, he kneels to the ground in pain and collapses from exhaustion, while reviving all other party members on the battlefield.
Due to the self-inflicted knockout effect that follows this attack, its use is limited to situations where Garr's sacrifice will benefit the party as a whole. However, the knockout effect can be canceled under two conditions: if another character's Blast Caliber is used immediately after the damage is dealt to the enemy from this attack, or if it ends the battle by defeating the last remaining enemy. If Garr is participating in battle as a solo character from using the "Single Play" option on a second or further playthrough, use of Sekkazan will result in an unavoidable defeat of the party unless it is used at the end of the battle.
In Tales of the Rays, this arte is Wind-elemental.
