Silva (シルバ Shiruba?, "Silver") is a supporting character in Tales of Berseria. Originally called Number One (聖隷１号 Seirei Ichigo?) by his tethered exorcist master, Teresa Linares, Silva is renamed by Eizen after the group rescues him from the Abbey's control.
History[]
Number One is first seen being commanded by Teresa in Hellawes while Velvet Crowe and Rokurou Rangetsu attempt to steal a ship to flee the city. He fights alongside her and Laphicet, aiding his master with his malak artes while Laphicet, "Number Two", does the same. He is later mentioned to be the more obedient of the two, as Laphicet would often sneak away to the library in order to read books. Later on, Number One is ripped from Teresa, rendering her helpless. He appears again later, this time alongside Melchior Mayvin, his new tethered master, fighting alongside him against the group in Melchior's illusionary realm known as The Calix. Defeated and abandoned by Melchior, the group decides to take him with them, and Eizen gives him his new name, "Silva" based on his silver hair and pendant.
His rescue is short-lived, however, as Innominat, the Empyrean of Suppression, soon turns him into a regenerating dragon known as a Hellkite (ヘルカイト?) that the group is forced to fight and kill in order to put him out of his misery. His body dissolves until only his bones remain.
These bones become the Dragon Zombie optional boss in Tales of Zestiria, the distant sequel to Tales of Berseria, taking place around 1,000 years afterward.
Appearance and Personality[]
As a malak, Silva has a silver bob cut and eyes of the same color. He wears the same attire as Laphicet, the difference being the pendant around his choker is silver, and rectangular.
Fighting Style[]
As a malak, Silva focuses on using a wide range of malak artes, some of which he shares with Laphicet. When he transforms into a Hellkite, Silva throws his large draconic body around with physical strikes as well as uses Fire-elemental breaths and some malak artes. His Dragon Zombie form also uses physical strikes but uses cursed darkness as a weapon.
