Ganzan Messaijin as it appears in Tales of Destiny 2.

Slag Assault (岩斬滅砕陣 Ganzan Messaijin?, "Rock Slash Destroy Break Position"[1]), also localized as Slog Assault, is an Earth-elemental sword-related arte in the Tales series.

Arte Description and History

Slag Assault as it appears in Tales of the Abyss.

The user leaps into the air, slamming their blade into the ground as they land to launch a large wave of rocks at the enemy. In Tales of Destiny 2, this attack is particularly useful for its range, capable of damaging enemies hidden in the back, similar to the flame capabilities of Bakuenken. Kyle Dunamis can extend this arte into the mystic arte Shouou Zetsurenshou.

In the PlayStation 3 and Definitive Edition ports of Tales of Vesperia, Clint's version, Slog Assault, has him summon a row of small stalagmites that run across the ground when he slams his sword down.

In Tales of the Rays, Ganzan Messaijin is used by Marcus Grimm. When used as the sixth or later action in a chain, this alters to Rekkuu Dankaisen.
