English voice actor[]

On AbyssalChronicles it is stated that Kirk Thornton voices Jade, but this is the only source I think Arosia and/or Lanate may consider as "eligible source". Other sites also state it. I tried to look for this voice actor's Twitter but it appears that doesn't have one.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 15:11, April 28, 2015 (UTC)

It's fine. I'm not overly concerned with citing the TotA English VAs, despite the issue we had with Tear. It would be nice to have them cited, however, and social media or official websites of the voice actors are some of our best sources for English VAs.

VA again[]

I shall be necroposting on this subject since this does involve stuff I have been able to recently do, which is confirm both Kirk Thorton and Melissa Fahn's roles, since I actually had the chance to meet both of them at Anime Expo in downtown Los Angeles this year. Considering they were not allowed to take pictures of them, have them write on the paper (considered an autograph), or heck even record them without forking over cash, some policy, I could not get them to speak the words on my android phone or have them take pictures of the sign. These are direct word of mouth of the voice actors. Now you guys may be eager to oppose this, however give me a chance if you want. I've done this before, as I tend to go to these events every year and this year the industry people were all crammed together in the Entertainment Hall of the LA convention center, mainly next to the gaming area and also near the LGBT safe space I happened to rest at. Got a chance to talk to the other ones in the other areas also. I can provide physical proof (my badge) through photos I did indeed attend the convention during this period in photos. Anyways I shall explain.

Melissa Fahn was at the convention on Sunday July 2 directly near me and my friend, so I was able to do a quick "interview" once she was done doing her signings. We asked her if she ever worked on Tales of the Abyss, which she responded with confusion a bit lol, however we got a few voice clips of Anise from Youtube and pulled her head away saying "Yep, that's me!" and along with her saying she does do non-union VA work.

Kirk Thorton was at the convention today on Monday July 3 in the same area, along with Barbara Goodson and Paul St. Peter. He did confirm to me he did indeed voice Jade in Tales of the Abyss and even in Tales of Zestiria, which pretty much led to him telling me he was a bit surprised he was called back for the role. He even signed the girl I met at the convention's copies of Tales of the Abyss (PS2/3DS) and her chibi Jade Curtis usb flashdrive.

I hope this information was helpful to you all here. And no, I'm not asking anything about DotW VAs from Kyle Herbert on July 4, he and Wendee Lee both cannot remember the voice actors in that game according to my first meeting with them in 2011. :P Plz ignore any grammatical errors, I am extremely exhausted from all the running around I did at the con. --Miphares (talk) 07:08, July 4, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for inspiring me to look out for more sources. I honestly appreciate the effort you went through. Unfortunately, I'd rather have some documented proof before claiming, considering what happens when you do a cursory internet search of claiming X. I do believe you on that Melissa Fahn did Anise and claimed a pseudonym once upon a time. Lanate (talk) 08:11, July 4, 2017 (UTC)
Totally understandable if you guys do not want to add it Lanate, the idea of word of mouth can be hard to prove without substantial evidence of it. I figured I would at least tell you guys what I was able to find out while there with my industry badge, think of it as me trying to make up for my idiocy day during the Zolo6 days. :P However being unable to get a picture or a note from them would backfire in some way, but yeah I had no more money for that stuff and the prices were pretty hefty for the things they let people do. :0 --Miphares (talk) 18:08, July 4, 2017 (UTC)
