Miktran Excessive[]

By the way, how should we list his second form's name? In the PSX version, his second "massive and useless floating piece of steak" form's name is "Ultra Kronos", but this is the localization of the Japanese "Neo Miktran". Miktran Excessive (aka "purple grasshopper mecha of LASERS and DOOOOOOOM") is a different name, and I don't feel comfortable renaming this form as "Kronos Excessive" just to be consistent with the localized name. And it wouldn't be accurate to keep using "Ultra Kronos" either.

So far, on Spark Wave, I have him listed simply as "Kronos". It doesn't fit with how we use names like Time Traveller and Radiant Winged One when necessary, but what else can we do? Spark Wave is the only spell that this form shares with the series mainstays anyway, so I guess it's a minor issue, but it is his infamous Damage Break attack after all. (That "Divine Saber" thing is named Ambivalence, so it's not the same, though he really should have had the real Divine Saber to tie in Berselius's abilities to Harold. And then there's Black Wing, Hell Slicer, that water-elemental orb chain thing in the DC version, etc. Oh wait, this form has Stop Flow too...)

Maybe it should be some sort of inbetween? Like say... Neo Kronos? Sorta like what was done with Dymlos Timber.

Personally that "floating steak form looks more like a giant mutated sword when zoomed out. Makes sense due to the weapon he has. User:Nathbud78921:31, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

If you haven't decided already, I thought of another possible name. "Excess Kronos". I still think it'd be best to go with some form of inbetween, really.

We will not invent names for anything. That's my entire point - I do not want to invent "Kronos Excessive", and "Ultra Kronos" is entirely inaccurate for this version of the game. However, we will keep consistency with localized names in all possible instances, so I'm just going to default Miktran Excessive to "Kronos" unless we actually get a proper translated name from Hometek. Not that it will ever happen.

Also, I should point out...[]

Also, I should point out that the persuasion of the Oberon executives and Leon to join, the manipulation of Leon and Marian's lives, the creation of the Aethersphere, and the phallic mushroom gifts, are all actions taken by Hugo, not Miktran. Miktran influenced Hugo, yes, but Hugo's actions were undertaken by his own will, and he really is a sadistic and manipulative bastard and pedophile at heart. (That is a compliment for Hugo's general level of awesome, btw.) Miktran only corrupted his mind under the guise of Berselius, but he never directly controlled anyone, he isn't a psychic mind flayer of some sort. So those parts on this article need to be edited to reflect that.

I coulda swore it was atleast mostly Kronos's' doing, but then again I haven't played Destiny in a long time. So, Hugo is the original Master Badtouch? Awesome.

Bump for Hugo was not posessed by Miktran. He does everything under his own will; Miktran just removes the inhibitions. Like a good bottle of wine. He doesn't go out of his way to control anyone. He doesn't even have any interest in the pointless interactions of a single family that is part of the race he wants to destroy. He may have been lightly amused, but ultimately bored at watching Hugo and Leon go at it every night, S&M style. Oh and, the PS2 remake overrides the PSX version as official canon, even if it does ends up screwing with some of the minor (and major) points in Destiny 2.
You know the "I was drunk! I didn't mean to do it! bawwwww ;________;" defense doesn't hold up in court.

Hi-Ougi[]

I know the mystic artes he uses in response to certain artes being used but whats the name of his normal one he uses when low on HP?

--User:Nathbud789 20:28, Febuary 14,2010 (UTC)

Melty Earth (メルティアス). Theoretically, it could be more accurate as "Meltias" since the final two kana don't follow the usual kana for "earth" (アース), but I don't think anyone really cares.
Byakuren Hijiri (talk) 01:44, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
The spelling was pretty similar to "Meltia" (メルティア). With just one more character (su) added. I always thought of it as a pun on Meltia+Diosu (What with how it fires like a mana weapon). But when I heard Melty Earth. I figured if anything, it could be that too. Since Miktran hates earth... =3=;;;; I dunno. But I will perform a bit of research into now while the topic is up and hot..

New localized name?[]

According to this tweet (at 1:08 mark) his English name is now "Mictlan" apparently, as opposed to initial "Kronos". I think it's because of Chronos and with such similar names the two can be focused if they continue with the old localization. Do we leave the page at its current name and note the video's name for him in the opening paragraph or do we rename the page and move things?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 16:27, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

The name used in the localization for the character's home game takes precedence over all others, so we'd leave it here and make a note about the other localization. Lanate (talk) 03:03, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
