Perks (特性 Tokusei?, "Traits") are special characteristics of playable characters in Tales of Arise.

Function[]

Perks are innate abilities for playable characters that define a major part of their playing styles. They are available by default and can be enhanced by obtaining skills.

  • allows activation of Flaming Edges using the Blazing Sword by continuing to hold down the button associated with an arte after using it
  • Flaming Edges cost 0 AG to use but consume Alphen's HP instead

  • allows activation of certain Sniper Blasts by continuing to hold down the button associated with special artes after using it
  • these Sniper Blasts cost 0 AG to use but consume special ammo instead

  • allows the storage and delay of the activation of an astral arte, enabling it to be released at a later point
  • certain astral artes can be stacked, allowing access to higher levels of an arte before officially learning them or to unique combinations
Awakening

  • enters the Awakening state if multiple attacks connect without being damaged
  • the Awakening state increases Attack and Elemental Attack
  • the Awakening state disappears if Law is staggered or if he doesn't connect with an attack after a certain period of time
Guard Ignition

  • enables guarding instead of evasion
  • after a successful guard, certain artes are enhanced with additional power and less chance to be staggered
Rod Extension

  • enters the Rod Extension state after a perfect evade
  • the Rod Extension state increases Penetration and the range of physical attacks
