## Shouka Kengi (昇華剣技 - "Extension Artes")

The following artes are available for use only by chaining the arte they are extended from to itself, or after chaining an action such as "Aiming Step", "Back Step", or "Charge" to the previous arte before performing it again. Because of this, these attacks cannot be accessed through the artes menu when used this way. With the exception of Garyuumeppa, all attacks can be activated only if the character is on the ground.

Some of these artes can be learned as separate attacks at higher levels without performing an extension, and therefore some of the following data is duplicated from the other tables listed on this page. Majinken Souga, Garyuumeppa, and Gessenkohou cannot be learned normally.

### Kuuchuu Shoujutsu (空中晶術 - "Aerial Magic")

Kuuchuu Shoujutsu are formed by using spells during an aerial combo. The spells are replaced by these artes, all of which are activated without delay or spellcasting time. At least one enemy must be staggered by any basic attack or arte for these attacks to activate, but once this initial condition has been met, these attacks can be used continuously without requiring more enemies to be staggered, as long as the character has enough CC remaining for each usage. All of these artes are aerial-enabled by definition, since they cannot be used on the ground. These attacks cannot be accessed through the artes menu.

## Blast Caliber (ブラストキャリバー)

All Blast Calibers are activated by pressing the "Damage Break" button or the "Attack" and "Artes" buttons after using any basic attack or arte that successfully staggers an enemy. All Blast Calibers can be activated only if the character is on the ground. Upon activation, the highest possible Blast Caliber is chosen based on the current level of the Blast Gauge, unless other special conditions are fulfilled to enable the use of a specific attack. After using any Blast Caliber, the Blast Gauge is drained by the number of levels that were required to activate it.
