ToX2 - Status Ailments

The following is a list of status ailments in Tales of Xillia 2.

Magical Ailments (状態変化 - Joutai Henka)

Magical ailments are inflicted on targets according to the element attached to the currently equipped weapon or used arte. They are of limited duration, can have that duration decreased through certain actions, and disappear at the end of battle.

	Skillseal スキル封印 Skill Fuuin	Water	prevents the effects of skills effect duration can be decreased by guarding
	Paralysis 麻痺 Mahi	Wind	chance to be staggered when trying to attack effect duration can be decreased by waiting in place
	Petrify 石化 Sekka	Earth	prevents all movement and actions effect duration can be decreased by pressing any button rapidly
	Confusion チャーム Charm	Light	prevents control of the character the character begins attacking without distinguishing between ally or enemy effect duration can be decreased by pressing any button rapidly
	Poison 毒 Doku	Dark	periodically decreases HP effect duration can be decreased by waiting in place
	Bleeding 出血 Shukketsu	Slash	decreases own HP each time the afflicted character attacks effect duration can be decreased by waiting in place
	Weakness 破壊 Hakai "Break"	Strike	inflicts Guard Break on any attack received while guarding effect duration can be decreased by using "Front Step" and "Backstep"
	Nausea 鈍化 Donka	Shot	prevents the chaining of artes effect duration can be decreased by performing the "Taunt" action

Other Ailments

Stun 気絶 Kizetsu	prevents all movement and actions inflicted by certain attacks cured by being attacked effect duration can be decreased by pressing any button rapidly
KO 戦闘不能 Sentou Funou "Unable to Battle"	prevents all movement and actions inflicted by current HP being decreased to 0 causes a game over if all party members are afflicted by this persists at the end of battle and requires being cured by revival spells or effects
Instant KO 即死 Sokushi	inflicts KO regardless of remaining HP
Curse 呪い Noroi	periodically decreases HP and inflicts Stun cannot be cured through normal means
Time Stop 時間停止 Jikanteido	prevents all movement and actions for a fixed period of time
