Cerberus Strike

Cerberus Strike (三散華, Sazanka^?, "Triple Scattering Blossom"), known alternatively as Triple Blossom and Triple Kick, is a kick and fist strike arte normally used by martial artists in the Tales series.

Arte Description and History

This arte involves the character attacking an enemy three times in succession.

In Tales of Eternia, Farah Oersted performs an upward kick with her right leg, followed by her left before spinning counterclockwise for a left axe kick.

In Tales of Symphonia, Regal Bryant spins clockwise for a spinning right hook kick three times. In Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, the execution is changed. Regal spins clockwise for a spinning right hook kick. He then switches legs and spins for a left roundhouse kick. Regal finishes by switching again for an upward spinning right hook kick. Additionally, Regal uses this arte together with White Wolf if he participates in a Unison Attack.

In Tales of Vesperia, Yuri Lowell steps forward with his right leg, before throwing three consecutive punches with his left fist. Straight, down, then up. In the PlayStation 3 and Definitive Edition versions of the game, if Yuri is wielding an axe, he can extend this when rapidly hitting the attack button, by stepping forward with his left leg before swinging his axe in an upward slash.

In the Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology series, the Monk class steps forward with their right leg as they perform a forward right punch, step forward with their left leg for a left hammer fist, before stepping forward again with a right uppercut.

In Tales of Xillia, Jude Mathis bends his left knee for a low straight left punch. He then steps forward with his right leg for a right uppercut, before spinning clockwise for a high-aimed spinning left hook kick. Leia Rolando spins counterclockwise before stepping forward with her right leg as she swings the right end of her staff at a down-left angle. She then steps forward with her left leg as she swings the left end at an up-right angle. Leia puts both hands at the right end as she jumps up and swings the staff upward while spinning counterclockwise. Golden Mage Knight - Scholar performs a straight right punch before stepping forward with their left leg for a straight left punch, then steps forward with their right leg for another straight right punch.

In Tales of Hearts R, Kohaku Hearts swings her baton down-left. She then steps forward with her right leg to swing down-right before spinning clockwise for a spinning right hook kick.

Cerberus is a dog in Greek mythology popularly depicted as having three heads, fitting the localized name, as this arte is comprised of three strikes.
