Ultimate Hell Pyre (剛・紅蓮剣, Gou Gurenken^?, "Fierce Crimson Lotus Blade"), also localized as Fierce Hell Fire Blade is an upgraded version of the classic Hell Pyre arte.

Arte Description and History

In its original version, Hell Fire Blade is used by Flynn Scifo and exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and Definitive Edition versions of Tales of Vesperia. After a short pause, Flynn slams into the enemy with a vertical slash, his sword enveloped in flames. After 100 uses, it can be used in midair, eliminating the pause. It is altered arte derived from his Hell Fire Blade via the the Hell Fire and Crucible skills.

Ultimate Hell Pyre becomes a linked arte in Tales of Xillia 2, shared by Milla and Gaius. Both character begin the arte by surrounding themselves in a tornado of fire. Gaius then entraps their target in a fire ball, after which, Milla descends from the sky with a flaming sword that causes an concentrated explosion.
