Undine as it appears in Tales of Phantasia (iOS).
Undine (ウンディーネ Undiine?), along with Summon: Water (降霊召符・水 Koureishoufu: Mizu?, "Spirit Summoning Seal: Water") and Undine II (ウンディーネⅡ Undiine II?), are artes that summon the Spirit of Water, Undine.

As the arte summoning the Spirit of Water, all of the artes are water-related and most deal Water-elemental damage. Some also heal the party. Undine first appears in Tales of Phantasia under the command of Claus F. Lester. When summoned, Undine appears at the left side of the screen, and she races across the visible battle field with her sword, dealing Water-elemental damage to all enemies who are hit by her. As a consumable item in Tales of Destiny, Undine heals all allies with columns of water.
Tales of Eternia is the first to combine the two effects by having Undine create a blast of water by slamming her trident into the ground before healing the party. Summon: Water in Tales of Symphonia and Aqua Rimms, which is similar in effect in Tales of Destiny 2, do the same, though the latter washes away enemies in a tidal wave while the former summons multiple columns of water, similarly to Spread. The Summon: Water in Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3 lacks the healing effect, however, appearing as merely a copy of the Undine arte, which summons two sideways columns of water.
In Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, Undine uses Suijarenkou.
In Tales of Xillia, the Undine arte summons Undine to unleash a stream of water. It is the only arte to change effects between it and its sequel, Tales of Xillia 2, where the Undine arte now summons Undine to heal party members close by to the summoner. The original effect is then used in the Undine II arte. The Undine arte used by the Enslaved Catalyst version of Muzét is the original version, however.
In Tales of the Rays, Claus summons Undine who conjures a large number of water bubbles in a large radius around her that damage enemies as they burst.
Undine is also the name of a Water-elemental spear in Tales of the Abyss and a skill in Tales of Zestiria that enables a chance to reduce Water-elemental damage.
