Until Emil can resolve the conflict inside of him, Verius can do nothing, though tells him that he will come if called. When Emil confronts his Ratatosk personality over his ruthless treatment of his friends, he comes to a decision, and Verius seals away Ratatosk's personality. However, this all changes when Emil faces Ratatosk's personality inside of himself after stopping Richter Abend. Verius's voice can be heard again, granting the wish Ratatosk's heart is asking. This leads to the separation of Ratatosk into his two forms, Emil and Ratatosk, allowing Emil to return to Marta Lualdi in Palmacosta.
