Wild Rain as it appears in Tales of Berseria.
Wild Rain (震天 Shinten?, "Quivering Sky") is a recurring strike arte in the Tales series.
Arte Description and History[]
When used, the archer shoots six arrows scattered into the air that promptly descend in an arc-like pattern. In Tales of Legendia, this arte appears as a spear arte used by Moses. With it, he throws his spear into the air, causing three more to appear and rain down on his enemies. These javelins strike perpendicular to the ground, as opposed to the arcs that the archery version take. Shigure Rangetsu uses a melee version of the arte, in which he performs a charging thrust with his sword; his use of it is part of a larger reference to Tremorous Celestial Sundering Shredding Light of Cyclonic Butchery.
In the collaboration event with Star Ocean: Anamnesis, this is Chester's Rush Combo attack. The area turns into a plain of green grass as Chester aims a single arrow into the air. When he fires, the arrow splits into five arrows of golden light. Arche Klein appears and uses magic to add seven arrows of magenta light. All of the arrows quickly dive back down and barrage the enemy while Chester and Arche pose in front of them. This attack also grants all allies HP recovery by fifteen percent every three seconds, for a total of twenty seconds.
